JOB SUMMARY
This position primarily safely hauls asphalt, records deliveries and obtains necessary signatures.
Daily duties will include but are not limited to: pre and post trip vehicle inspections, complete documentation, safety procedures, filling tankers and distributing products to our customers, and of course driving.
You will also work closely with our team to help ensure that customers receive great products, top-notch service, company policies are followed and that transactions are recorded properly and timely.
This is a great local delivery position that allows our drivers to be home every night, work great hours, and have a short winter lay-off with insurances and unemployment benefits paid.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Represent the company with the highest principles and positive attitude
Operate tanker/tractor trailers and transports product safely to and from specified locations in accordance with all company, local, state FMCSA Regulations
Complete pre and post trip truck inspections, keep vehicle clean maintained, document properly
Promptly report all maintenance problems to Fleet Manager and/or supervision
Regular attendance is required, report to work well rested and insure rest breaks prevent fatigue in accordance with FMCSA hours of service
Perform required product transfer, avoid overfills spillages during deliveries or while loading and unloading, securing ot loads
Perform all tasks required in customer delivery including but not limited to product transfer, paperwork documentation, courteous customer interactions
Participate in regulatory site specific training through classroom theory or practical assessment
Report any incident involving equipment damage, near miss, first aid or medical treatment to supervisor
Daily completion and submission of written paperwork
Be positive, energetic, with can-do attitude
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficient use of computer applications, phone email communication
Team oriented, job may include more duties than what is listed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a CDL A license, with proper endorsements (Tanker in Ohio Hazmat)
TWIC (for OH) preferred
Minimum of three (3) year experience driving tank truck and a clean Motor Vehicle record
Capable of using equipment to load and unload transport trucks, including pulling hoses and climbing ladders
Physically capable to participate in Heavy lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, carrying hoses/nuzzles weighing 75 lbs
Able to pass and maintain a Federal DOT test that requires drug and alcohol testing
Committed to working safely and following all policies and procedures
Drive to succeed
Able to work Saturdays during peak season
